Vlogmas 2020 / Get Ready With Me / Holiday Edition
Bella looooooooves makeup! It has been such a fun activity of personal expression for her this year. I’m so glad she discovered this art form to explore her creativity. (And lets face it, learning to do your make up is a great life skill to have up your sleeve! 🙂 ) We have been both on lockdown for 10 months – as a post transplant patient, I’m not even allowed to go to the grocery, post office, etc. All that to say, I admire how Bella has done SO well with this HUGE life adjustment. So makeup has been a great outlet for her to have fun, build her self confidence and it is a joyful activity we can do together.
Another bonus is that while we were getting ready, we sampled my new Christmas Classics Playlist!

This one has been a long work in progress for me. Mostly because each year, when the Christmas season rolls around, I get excited about it and can’t wait to share with my family! Then I always struggle to narrow down my picks and really FINISH what I started, and eventually I get SO sick of Christmas music that I just stop and say I’ll do it the next year. Oops! But this year, God is obviously calling me to let go of perfection and just do what I can. (Which to be honest, is often not very much 🙁 ) This has been a season when I’ve been sick and “called aside” far more than an I’ve been “healthy” and active. But music is often the one thing I can always enjoy; regardless of my physical / mental / emotional state. Anytime I’m in the hospital, I NEED my earbuds and music to suit each mood… (Which reminds me, I have a great story about my random transplant playlist but will save that for another day 🙂 )
All that babble to say, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! It is also one of the rare times that I will give permission to hit “random” LOL! The order of the playlist and the transitions between songs are strangely important to me, BUT this one is so fun you really can’t go wrong in any order. It’s what we’ve been listening to while decorating the tree, wrapping presents, or anytime we need our spirits lifted, and our hearts warmed with memories of the past…
Quick Question – What are your favorite Christmas songs? I love hearing which songs / which versions different people like. I am always open to adding more songs and expanding the playlist and I would love to know which song(s) mean the most to YOU!
Tonight, for Christmas Eve, I will be posting my final playlist: Christmas Worship! It is another one that has taken a long time to complete, but is very special to me… and I also have more fun things planned, and some more guests that will be joining our final Vlogmas 2020 videos.
