“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!”
– Philippians 4:4
Thanksgiving 2021
Thanksgiving is here again! Wow its been quite a year, but wait didn’t I think that last year?! π But this year, I am thankful to say God has taken me a step deeper into His calling upon me. I have been searching for the right word to share to explain. A word to go with me, to wear as a reminder of what the Holy Spirit has said…
protected
forgiven
treasured
sealed
stamped
delivered
freed
called
called
yes, CALLED into the service of the King π
As I remember past Thanksgivings (one of my worst was spent in dialysis – no holidays allowed for kidney patients!) Β I realize the one thing I am truly thankful for, every year, no matter what condition I am in, is that I am called! I am freed! I am delivered! I am stamped / sealed / treasured / forgiven / protected! My greatest cry of thanksgiving is the one I make with hands high, heart full of praise, filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit, for my salvation. Hallelujah!
Hands High, Heart Full of Praise
My Bella and I have had this song on repeat all week. It truly says it all! π΅
So this Thanksgiving, wherever you are, whoever you are with, regardless of circumstances, with a full table or with empty hands – I pray you will hold them high, and sing with a heart full of praise and thanksgiving.
This is where I’ll be as well π
“… for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
– Philippians 4:11-13
Heart Full of Praise
Phil Wickham
I was lost and could not see
But You did not give up on me
To save me from my guilt and shame
You stepped into the world You made
And on the cross of Calvary
You gave Your life to set me free
Forever I will sing Your Name
Hands high, heart full of praise
The King of glory once enthroned
Was laid to rest behind the stone
But death would not have final say
Jesus You rose from the grave
Now standing in Your victory
Your Spirit is alive in me
Forever I will sing Your name
Hands high, heart full of praise
After all is said and done
And after every race is run
I will see my Savior’s face
Hands high, heart full of praise
For You are crowned the King of Kings
And You are robed in majesty
Forever I will sing Your name
Oh hands high, heart full of praise
Heart full of praise
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
All glory to Your name
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hands high, heart full of praise
Happy Thanksgiving! π
Happy Thanksgiving, Becky! π I’m thankful for you and praying you have a wonderful day with your family π
Crystal, this post has made me sit down and not only contemplate what Iβm thankful for, but to actually spend time praising the Lord for His goodness. I want to have that heart full of praise as I go about my busy days. In order to do that I have to spend time at His feet, to have my cup filled to overflowing. Thank you for the reminder. βThis is the day the Lord has made.Let us rejoice and be glad in it.β
Oh Mama, you always inspire me and make me smile π you understood the assignment! π so glad you spent time worshipping. Beautiful, Crystal. Love the visual too. Gratitude for it all–the good and the bad. Being thankful and praising reminds me that life on earth is temporary. And, it is a good rehearsal for the eternal praise and worship we will be doing together, forever with HIM! Happy Thanksgiving. π
Oh Aunt Rebecca β€οΈ Thank you for your encouragement! I told bella what you said about the picture and she said, “Arigato Aunt Rebecca!” β€οΈ Happy Belated Thanksgiving and thank you again for sharing. I am so thankful for YOU!
